Ahhh, summertime!  We've had a crazy summer of storms and heat!  And due to the crazy weather Kayla's session had to be re-scheduled twice!  Finally yesterday we had gorgeous weather, a perfect day! 

Although Kayla was shy in front of the camera she did great!  We have some beautiful shots!  I hope you enjoy your preview!!

Up cycled t-shirt dresses by Wise Sewcial Ties

What can I say...these dresses are comfortable, cute, and affordable!  I was just honored to do a product shoot with one of Maria's dresses using my oldest daughter Gabrielle as the model.  The shoot was so fun!  She had a great time modeling (of course all who know her knows this is her thing) the dress!!  She couldn't stop telling me about how comfortable it was and I being a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl knew exactly what she was talking about.  These dresses are perfect for back to school!!  Make sure to check out Maria's talent at Wise Sewcial Ties on Facebook and Etsy.  Thanks again, Maria!!  Can't wait to work with you in the future!!

The last day in April...

The kids had their first baseball game this afternoon.  They did well and had a great time.  I took my camera to get pictures of them in their cute little uniforms but the younger two kids kept me so busy I forgot I didn't get one shot until it was all over.  So, next game is Monday evening I'll have try harder next time. 

After their game we went to my husband's parents house and the kids spent the day playing outside.  The wind was a bear to contend with today but as long as it was warm they were staying outside.  They had a great time.  We took a walk around the farm and the kids helped grandpa feed the calves.  They enjoy getting to help out with the cows.  

Not a cow from their farm but I love the picture. ;)

Jaxon had a blast a week or so ago playing around so mom could take pictures. He climbed all over the tractors and posed here and there.  A bit out of character for him but he was loving the attention.  The girls were shopping with my parents and he had all of our attention, he was loving it!

And, of course, when we got there today the first thing they all wanted to do was feed the cows.  Once we got out there I got a chance to get a few pictures.  It's rare but they didn't seem to mind getting their pictures taken today.

They played themselves silly today.  Running through the fields to rolling down the hills!  My little kiddos were wore out when we got home.  It didn't take much convincing at bedtime.

A little behind...

It's been awhile!  Yesterday I posted about our new baby girl and aside from keeping up with four kids, a husband, and our home I don't know what has kept me from keeping my blog current! ;-)  But as the weather tries to get warmer and hopefully drier I hope to be able to keep in touch on here.  I, also, hope to make my photography career a bigger focus in my life.  So this is just a little note to let you know where I have been and where I hope to be in the near future.

Our new baby girl...

As many of you know by now we have a new addition to our family. A sweet baby girl, Brooklynn Reese. She's been a wonderful addition and she fits in perfectly. I have to admit it's been an adjustment going back to the newborn stage as the youngest is three now. The kids love their new baby sister and we have been fortunate because the jealousy was next to none since she has arrived. We are truly blessed with great children!

Brooklynn is as precious as her pictures portray her but we've had a rough time getting adjusted to the acid reflux. She wants to nurse all day most days and has been put on zantac to help with the spitting up but she still showers me at least twice daily if not more. :)~ I tell people I have a new perfume...Baby Spit up! ;) Ah, the joys of motherhood.

Even with the tummy issues we've been doing well and couldn't ask for a sweeter baby. She completes the puzzle.

The Z Family...

A friend of mine from school called me the other day and wanted to get together for pictures. Her and her husband have the cutest and might I add sweetest lil guys ever! They are so well behaved and fun to be around. I met them at their place for pictures around the Christmas tree. Their oldest wanted to show me all his toys and ornaments and the youngest was worried about watching his movie (he reminds me so much of my little girl Charlize). Once we started taking pictures the kids were great! We had to give Little D a candy cane and he was good to go after that! :)

I had a great time and hope to see you again soon! I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Just one more step....

Just one more step in the life of a senior. Graduation is just around the corner and a new group of young men and women will move onto the next part of their life's journey. I had the pleasure of meeting one of those young men this past weekend. A very shy guy at first but once he started to loosen up he started getting comical and having fun! I had so much fun meeting up with Chad and his mom Tina. They were really great and I totally appreciate their patience while waiting on their sneak peek!

I really hope you enjoy this preview...I really enjoyed working with you both! And Diesel was great too!! ;)

A mini winter vacation...

I got to meet up with my cousin Rochelle, her husband Dave, and their little bundle of cuteness Kaleb. Our husbands had to work in the big city of Indianapolis so we decided to tag along and shop.

While we were there I got a little mini shoot in with Baby K. I have to say for being 4 months old he was the most patient baby. He was happy and smiley. He didn't cry until it was time to eat. :) I enjoyed him being my little model for the day!! I can't wait to see you all again...we had a blast. Let's not wait so long next time!!

Shane & Heather

While most photographers are taking a break during the month of December...I venture on! ;)

I met up with my cousin Shane and his fiance Heather in Knox, IN. They are in the midst of planning their wedding next year. I had the priviledge of capturing their engagement pictures. And even though it was cold we got some great shots!

I met Liz and her family on Saturday for her senior pictures. We have had some gorgeous weather for November and we were really lucky to get to take advantage of it!


Liz is such a sweetheart and a very pretty girl! Her family is great as well and I am so happy to have gotten a chance to meet all of you. :)
